A Christmas highlight in Malta is the annual pantomime held at the Manoel Theatre. The show is always a happy mix of slapstick humour for children and satire for adults meaning that the show is perfect for the entire family.

St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta is one of the most famous sites in Malta and there is usually candlelit carol singing in the build up to Christmas. Other baroque parish churches across the Islands are just as awe-inspiring during advent. Their interiors are decked out in papal crimson and altars are adorned with flowers.

From the 8th December Fairyland will be arriving at Pjazza Tritoni in Valletta. This year there will be several fantastic attractions including, Rudolph’s Wheel – to give you the best bird’s eye view of Valletta – to an ice-skating rink for anyone looking to test their skills. There will also be a Christmas market so that you can pick up some festive treats. Santa Claus himself, together with his elves, will also be in residence at Fairyland! There will also be a World Cup Village so that football fans can cheer on their favourite team in the World Cup, whilst enjoying a beer, warm drinks and good food.

On the 12th and 13th December, international troupe That’ll Be The Day will perform two Christmas concerts at the Hilton Conference Centre.
