Welcome to the New Year! It’s 2025, baby! If this month is anything like December, it’s going to start tumbling way out of control and we’ll be making Valentines plans before you know it.
If you’re like me, you woke up this morning in Ireland to an icy blue sky and frost hanging to every blade of grass with that resentment building up all morning thinking: ‘it’s a new year? I thought we were, like, over winter?’
But alas, you live in Ireland, you get Irish weather. And that’s why we have to keep our hope burning alive by planning and booking your holiday in the next 28 days. So, where to start? Well, the universe might already know where you’re going this year. Not only know where you should be going but why you need to go there. For this, we enlist the help of Madame Doyle. She is the psychic alter-ego of Travel Times new Head of Content and Media, and she is going to be deciding where you should be going on holidays based on what your 2025 yearly horoscope is predicting for you! Throughout this article, Madame Doyle insists you imagine her as a very, very old redheaded woman, her face lit up as she croons over a crystal ball, waiving her hand in the air and sending you off to your nearest travel agency.
Included in this article are the travel recommendations based on the horoscopes for the following signs: Aries, Taurus, Capricorn, Pisces, Leo and Gemini- catch up with us on Monday for Part Two if your sign isn’t on the list!
Aries (March 21st-April 19th)
First up, and obviously in no predictable order (pun intended), Madame Doyle brings you Aries. The rambunctious ram, your fire sign means you’re a bold and ambitious type of person, who loves a challenge and goes after what you want with an unmatched passion and motivation. You’re usually a fast-paced person who would probably enjoy a city break or lots of activities for your holidays. But as Saturn enters into your sign in 2025, your year and the events happening around you are going to teach you a thing or two about patience: this means it’s a good idea to start nurturing your nervous system with a cultural reset.
Madame Doyle of Travel Times suggests taking it easier this year and looking after yourself in Greece. Before, you might have been tempted towards busier islands like Rhodes or Crete, but we recommend travelling to a quieter island like Cythera or Cyclades which are easily accessible by ferry from Piraeus or daily thirty-five-minute flights from Athens.
Taurus (April 20th – May 20th)
Next, we have Taurus, represented by the bull. Your earth sign means that you enjoy relaxing in serene environments with soft sounds and soothing aromas. If you had a choice- you’d choose comfort and luxury above all else. All of this combines to make you a bit of a creature of habit and for you we would usually recommend a spa break or a week sitting by the pool in a nice climate. The thing is, 2025 has something more in store for you than just your normal holiday! With Uranus, the planet of disruption, ending its journey in Taurus this year, Madame Doyle recommends trying something outside of your comfort zone.
If you want to step out of your comfort zone while remaining comfortable- big crazy activities probably aren’t for you. That’s why Travel Times thinks that our Taurus boys and girls should start small, knowing that the best way to enjoy a new experience or location is through food! That’s why we’re recommending Japan for your 2025 destination. Japan is a clean and safe country with beautiful architecture and immersive tourist attractions. Every hotel and hostel upholds a high standard of luxury, comfort and cleanliness and there are amazing dining experiences at every turn. We’re not saying you should go straight to trying Takoyaki (fried balls with octopus) but you could start by enjoying some exceptional Wagyu steaks and sushi!
Capricorn (December 22nd-January 19th)
Thirdly, we have Capricorns, the sea-goat sign usually comes off a little restrained at first, but their closest friends and family know they love to party. We know that inside every Capricorn is a mischievous troublemaker, ready to let loose! In the Natural House astrology system, you’ve had Pluto in your Tenth House of ambition, success, promotions, redundancy and resignation for FOURTEEN YEARS! Starting since January 27th 2008, Pluto has been deeply effecting your power and control issues. Many believe that since 2008, the world was plunged into a period of upheaval that dismantled outdated systems, forcing collective introspection around power, responsibility and sustainability which is pretty close to the mark- thinks Madame Doyle!
But now, Capris, it’s over and this year is your time to shine as your horoscope says that it’s only upwards from here as you experience profound positive growth in your personal and professional life. As an Earth sign, you’ll really enjoy the Tuileries Garden and the beautiful architecture, and Paris also has a thriving night life- whether you want to let loose at a club or enjoy a good bottle of wine with dinner!
Pisces (February 19th- March 20th)
Next, we have Pisces. The two fish in your sign- swimming in opposite directions- represents your division between fantasy and reality. As the final sign in the Zodiac, Pisces are thought to experience all the lessons of every sign- the joys and the pains, the hopes and the fears, making you an empathetic and compassionate human. This is great for your loved ones but it’s not always a good sign for you- and too often you’re swallowed by your own emotions with catastrophic thinking spiralling you into fantastical realities that just make you anxious. Leo (July 23rd to August 22nd)
Next up, Leo- the ferocious lion sign. You are naturally orientated and eager to make things happen. Your lion sign means that you were born to shine, and you want attention and respect from all those around you.

You’re symbolized by the celestial twins, and as an air sign you’re interested in so many pursuits that it doubled to represent your intrinsic duality. Over the last year, you have undergone significant growth, in your professional and personal life. Not all of it has been bad, but the challenges you’ve overcome have made you the person you are today.
