How to Maximise Paid Leave in 2025

I know, I know, the emails are already pouring in, 2025 is in full swing and all you can think about are those holiday deals from your nearest travel agency. Are you leaning towards a city break or a longer trip? Maybe Disneyworld or a South African safari? Now is the time to start booking your holidays and getting those holiday requests in to your boss or Steve in HR asap.

Here’s the good news! We’ve got the answer to a question that’s been at the back of your mind: how can you turn 20 days of holiday leave into 55 days? Read below!

Let’s say you work a regular Monday-Friday, 9-5 job and get 20 days of paid holiday leave per year- if you align your days off with public holidays to extend your breaks, you can travel longer, more often and at better times! This isn’t just a good idea, it’s a game-changer, but you need to choose them correctly in order to ensure you make the most out of it. Think about it—an adventure to a far-off destination could be the perfect antidote to stress, giving you the chance to unwind, explore, and recharge. Whether it’s chasing sunsets on a beach or hiking through a hidden mountain trail, travel can spark creativity, improve your mood, and even boost your productivity when you return to the grind.

Here are the details:

January 31 for a 4-day break

March 14 for a 4-day break

April 22 to April 25 for a 10-day break

May 2 for a 4-day break

May 30 for a 4-day break

August 1 for a 4-day break

And there you have it! Get those requests in quickly, you never know who else is reading this article!
