If you’re one of those people who will be on a flight this Christmas, we have some news for you. Many airlines have come up with special treats and festive menus so that passengers can get a wee little touch of X-mas.

For example, Virgin Atlantic is offering customers a delicious festive menu for Christmas. Customers travelling in every cabin on selected flights from 24th-26th December can enjoy traditional fare featuring roast turkey with all the trimmings and a butternut squash wellington.

Chocolate lovers will be delighted as an array of desserts are available across the cabins, including milk chocolate and caramel mousse in Economy and chocolate and caramel crunch in Premium. There is a delicious option of a millionaire’s chocolate log in Upper Class where customers can also cleanse their palates with a cheese platter.

Lindt chocolate reindeer will also be served, to the delight of the kids onboard!

Virgin Atlantic has created a special festive-inspired Mile High Tea for Premium and Upper-Class customers. Brie and cranberry and cheese are paired with a chocolate orange mini Christmas pudding, mince pie éclair, blackberry & bay leaf macaron and a warm scone and served with a sparkling Christmas Spirit cocktail, mixing velvety smooth Black Cow Vodka with Champagne bubbles.

Customers can also countdown to midnight on New Year’s Eve over a personal, mini bottle of champagne, available to Upper Class and Premium passengers on all flights departing on 31st December. All passengers on flights departing the UK will get a taste of Lily O’Brien’s signature chocolates, Keylime Pie and Le Crunch Chocolat.

If you’re an Emirates passenger, fret not as well. From 24 to 26 December, there’s a little Christmas gift for everyone on board selected flights. Enjoy a cinnamon cream profiterole in First Class, a gingerbread tree and snowman in Business Class and a chocolate truffle in Economy Class.

If you are in Economy or Premium Economy, you can fill up on slices of roast turkey served with jus lié, cranberry compote, chestnut stuffing, pumpkin with honey and thyme, potato wedges and brussels sprouts with turkey bacon. In Premium Economy you can start your meal with a salmon gravadlax and enjoy a sweet ending with our chocolate covered gingerbread cake that comes with a milk chocolate gingerbread man. In Economy Class you can satisfy your sweet tooth with a gingerbread cake with cream cheese frosting and cinnamon sauce.

If your tickets are First Class or Business Class, you can start your Christmas dinner with our take on the classic prawn cocktail, with lemon and herb king prawns served with fennel salad and cocktail sauce, or choose the salmon gravadlax. Then delve into roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, turkey bacon, potato wedges and creamy Brussels sprouts with a cranberry jus lié. Finish with a delicious festive dessert or ask for our signature mulled wine, and you’ll be just about ready to snooze off to a Christmas movie.
