The series that everyone is talking about is filmed in some stunning locations.

After the first Hawaii-set season became a sleeper hit (and won several awards), the show evolved into another season.

The first two seasons of The White Lotus were filmed in real-life luxury hotels by the Four Seasons chain. The instalments also include restaurants from the hotels.

The first season of The White Lotus was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea as filming took place in 2020, the crew was under strict COVID-19 guidelines.

Rooms at the luxury property begin at approximately €1,000 per night and include the spa, three pools, 81 cabanas, water sports, and snorkelling. It’s beside the beautiful Wailea Beach, which is also featured on the show.

In the tv show, the rooms are painted in print, wild colours, whereas in real-life the decor is much more muted.

In season two, the location moves to Sicily to the San Domenico Palace, Taormina. Overlooking the Ionian Sea, including views of the beautiful Greek theatre, the Teatro Antico di Taormina as well as the active volcano Mount Etna, this stunning hotel has hosted Hollywood royalty such as Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn. The four seasons chain took over in 2020.

Season 2 was also filmed at Lumina Studios close to Rome and on location in Sicily. Noto, a southeastern town famous for its Baroque architecture, was featured in a quick girls’ trip for Daphne and Harper.
