We’ve put together another amazing holiday offer. This time for Corfu, Greece. If you’re looking for a summer holiday, but don’t want to travel in the summer season, then this offer is for you.

Spend seven nights from 21 to 28 October 2023 in the in this enchanting mediterranean gem, from €730 per person. The flights can be booked with Aerlingus and accommodation is widely available on booking.com. We’d recommend the 5* Corfu Palace which is a short 10 minutes from the centre of Corfu town or the 4* Archaravi Beach Hotel which is located on the north coast of Corfu with a long beach overlooking the breathtaking Albanian mountains.

Here are five reasons to Visit Corfu:

  1. Explore the old town: Wander through the cobblestone streets of the Corfu Town a UNESCO World Heritage site. Admire the venetian architecure, visit the impressive Old Fortress and have a coffee in vibrant Spianada Square as you enjoy some people watching. You can browse the local shops filled with handmade olive wood kitchen utensils and other local gifts. Enjoy a meal in a traditional taverna have a raki or two (traditional greek drink which is a symbol of friendship and nobility and a sign of social communication).
  2.  Visit Paleokastristsa: Discover the scenic beauty of this place, a coastal village renowned for it’s stunning beaches and crystal clear waters. We’d recommend taking a boat and explore the caves and hidden coves along the coastline or you can simply relax on one of the many picturesque beaches. Paleokastritsa has a 13th century monastery perched on a hilltop overlooking  the amazing turquoise sea offering breathtaking panoramic views.
  3. Visit the Achilleion Palace: This stunning palace has amazing views and is filled with classical statues and paintings (great for insta photos). It was built in the 19th century for Empress Elizabeth of Austria. They say once you step into this Palace you’re taking a step into the world of Greek mythology.
  4. Relax on one of Corfu’ many beautiful beaches: Sometimes, we just love to ‘fly and flop’ and Corfu has some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. There’s a beach to suit every preference. Glyfada on the west coast is a very popular beach along with Paleokastritsa. The more secluded Agios Gordios and Agios Stefanos north west of Corfu Island are also lovely sandy beaches worth visiting.
  5. Experience Corfiot Cuisine and eat with the locals: Indulge in the flavors of Corfu by savouring its unique culinary delights. My favourite is the Sofrito , a dish made with beef cooked in a garlic and wine sauce with shallots. To die for!! You should definitely sample local olive oil, olives, and cheeses too.

The people of Corfu are renowned for their warm hospitiality and friendly nature. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted with smiles and genuine warmth and willingness to engage with you that will leave a lasting impression on your visit. Prepare to be welcomed like family as you explore Corfu and encounter the genuine kindness of its people.

Trust me, you will return !!
