Terra Plata, Capitol Hill 

Committed to sourcing local ingredients from organic sustainable farmers, Terra Plata is a must visit. The menu offers an extensive list of flavours with everything from Paella nights on a Monday to salmon during weekend brunch. The rooftop garden terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy food in the open air whilst enjoying the surrounding neighbourhood views.

La Dive, Capitol Hill

Located in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood, La Dive houses characteristics that aren’t available anywhere else in the city. In a cosy, friendly environment, the dive bar mixes classic cocktails, organic wine and tasty bar snacks in cool, contemporary surroundings. Not to be missed are the delicious pork and beef filled dumplings.

Taurus Ox, Capitol Hill

The famous sausage that can still be found on the menu today is the reason for this restaurant’s success. Chef Khampaeng Panyathong began selling the dish out of his garage six years ago before the cosy corner spot opened on Capitol Hill in 2019 Serving beautiful Laotian food from rice noodles and stir-fries to stews and sausages, Taurus Ox is a great place for a casual dinner or takeaway lunch.

Gan Bei, Chinatown

In the heart of the city’s Chinatown, Gan Bei has as much history as the streets it’s located in. With an affordable menu, the atmosphere is cosy and chill, offering guests an experience to remember. Choose from an extensive list of hearty meals including fried rice, chow mein and rice rolls. 

Itsumono, Japantown

This authentic family-run Japanese restaurant should be on every traveller’s list. Itsumono boasts friendly staff, food oozing with flavour, and drinks that cleanse the palate. The loco moco scotch egg (a deep-fried scotch egg with a running yolk, gravy on top, mac salad and rice) always has customers coming back for more! Foodies can find this rustic gastro-pub in the city’s historic Japantown.
